South Sudan Water Project video

The South Sudan Water Project has personally installed eleven boreholes since 2006 and repaired over 40 boreholes, all which serve more than 20,000 people with clean water in Doro, South Sudan.
In providing clean water sites that are easier to reach for the people, there is a bridge built between SIM and the community.
As locals gather to observe the team in action with the boreholes, as leaders see the impact of the project in their communities, there is great opportunity to share the gospel.
Currently the project is led by an SIM missionary, but the long term vision is for a sustainable project, led by the South Sudanese team,
The team has been fully trained to carry out the work without supervision and are daily discipled with God's word. It’s a beautiful picture to see the team and the community growing in physical and spiritual health.
There is a continued need for the water project. It is the only one of its kind in the area that maintains and repairs boreholes. Furthermore, as Doro has expanded with refugees moving to the area, new borehole sites are needed.
