What is SIM?

We are an evangelical mission agency, working with churches around the world. Our multi-cultural workers are sent by churches to share the good news of Jesus Christ in communities where He is least known. They serve in teams in more than 70 countries and on every inhabited continent.

About SIM

We are united by our belief that no one should live and die without hearing the good news of Jesus Christ. Working in close partnership with churches, we recruit, equip and place mission workers in multi-cultural teams to serve in communities where Christ is least known.

Our focus is now very much on taking the gospel to places where there are no, or very few, Christians. Our heart is for those who have never met Jesus.

We’re a global mission family of more than 4,000 people, serving in more than 70 countries. With team members from around 70 different nationalities, we work together across cultures and continents, sharing Jesus with diverse communities and walking alongside them in faith and service.

Our ministries fall into four key areas: disciple-making and church-planting; outreach; serving and equipping churches for missions and mobilising for mission; and leadership and services.

If God is calling you to use your gifts and skills to serve communities where people are living and dying without ever hearing the good news of Jesus, we would love to hear from you. If you love Him and long to see His name known among those who’ve never had the chance to hear, there’s a place for you on one of our ministry teams around the world.

About SIM International

SIM International supports and strengthens the work of SIM’s offices and ministry teams by providing leadership, coordination, and resources to help the gospel go further, together.

How is SIM organised?

SIM has offices in more than 70 countries, all working together with a shared heart for mission. We are united by our signing of the SIM Mission Agreement, which details how we work together. The offices have a significant degree of autonomy and are accountable both to SIM International Board and, in many cases, to their own local board of trustees.

Typically, a prospective worker would contact the nearest SIM office to their home. That office then works with other SIM offices around the world to find the best opportunity to serve for the worker. SIM equips, supports and encourages the worker in that journey and provides ongoing care while the worker is serving.
