Serving at the Margins- Internship
nightlight Canada, a SIM Canada partner ministry and a multi-denominational Christian ministry, operates drop-in centres in Belleville, Cambridge and Kingston, Ontario that service those on the margins. We believe that one of the most devastating and under-addressed forms of poverty is relational poverty. nightlight seeks to address this through adult drop-in centres, safe places to build meaningful relationships, where we invite in anyone who wants to come, including those who would normally be excluded. We serve refreshments and a place for people to play games, chat, and build relationships.

Frontline work with Canadian human trafficking victims
Does your heart break for the countless girls and young women exploited in the sex trade? SIM envisions that the number of youth facing exploitation and human trafficking in the Canadian sex trade will decline when local churches provide community leadership, healing environments and social supports which promote spiritual, physical and mental health for vulnerable young people. SIM seeks a frontline worker who will minister directly to exploited young women and work with churches in the Greater Toronto area to build capacity for spiritual care and community support for this group.

MK education
Do you like working with children and teenagers? We are looking for qualified school teachers, as well as those who could work in auxiliary roles such as dorm parenting, finance and admin, to enable families from SIM and likeminded organisations to stay on the field, knowing that their children's educational needs can be met. We place staff and interns at Dakar Academy (https://www.dakar-academy.org) and may also have opportunities for someone to be a homeschool teacher. Dakar Academy has a Christian ethos, but welcomes children from all backgrounds, so there are opportunities both to disciple those from Christian families and also to share the Good News with those who haven't heard.

Discipler of Disciples
We are focused on reaching the un-reached of the north in Mozambique so this role is designed to train Bible students (pastors and youth) to evangelize and plant churches among the unreached that surround the city. The discipleship and training will be among churches that need to have that vision or among small and young Yawo churches dot-ted in and around Lichinga. More than anyone, they need encouragement and good biblical discipleship. This fits perfectly into our strategy.
