Holistic Development and HIV and AIDS Treatment
We desire to go where Christ is not known and demonstrate His love in practical ways, serving the poor and marginalised communities where Christ is least known. We encourage local churches to build relationships with and serve their local communities.
Where people come to Christ through our ministry, we link them with a local fellowship or believer to be discipled. For clients, communities and churches, we serve/partner with them to ensure holistic change and to see them empowered to make decisions and be more proactive in solving social, health, economic, spiritual and environmental problems.
We desire improvement in health awareness and health behaviors, including providing cleaner, safer living environments and access to safe drinking water and hygienic toilets. We desire improved addiction awareness, addiction prevention, and assistance to clients and their families in remaining addiction-free.
We desire that HIV and AIDS awareness improve and for churches to engage in HIV and AIDS care and support. We desire an increase in productive livelihood skills and employment and for more people able to afford their basic needs and utilize savings/credit appropriately. We hope communities would respect the presence of the church and recognize it as a catalyst for community wellbeing.
Come and Serve
Pray for clients to come to know Jesus and follow Him through our ministry.
Pray for staff to reflect Christ’s love to those we minister to as we seek to alleviate human suffering, facilitate empowerment and improve health, livelihood and equality for those who are marginalised or living in poverty.
Pray for good relationships with local churches, communities and government.
Pray for political stability and that regional events will not adversely affect our ministry.
Christian Conferences Held in Namibia
The goal of this ministry is to provide teaching tools and materials to 1,400 Christian workers in Namibia and to provide biblical teaching at the eight different Pastor’s Book Set (PBS) conferences. We want to promote access by other partner ministries in Namibia to these 1,400 Christian workers serviced by the PBS in Namibia.
We desire to provide fellowship and networking among Christian leaders of different churches in Namibia. The urgency and interest of Namibian Christian workers for these books and resources is acute. The response to the delivery of the first phase was overwhelming and our goal is to see the completion of this project.
Pray that God’s wisdom will be evident in the selection of relevant, understandable and contextual books so that Namibian Christian workers will be blessed with what is most effective for their context.
Pray that Namibian Christian leaders who receive these books would be led by God’s Spirit to “study to show themselves approved, workmen that need not be ashamed, but rightly dividing the Word of truth.” (II Tim. 2:15).
Praise God that additional churches and believers are making strong investments in the Namibian Pastors' Book Sets.
