Communities where Christ is least known

Czechs

The Czech Republic is a beautiful country in the heart of Central Europe with a population of 10 million people. Part of Czechoslovakia until 1993, it also belonged to the Eastern Block until the Velvet Revolution in 1989.

Despite a rich history of Christianity, it is currently one of the most gospel-poor countries in Europe, with atheism and eastern religions both on the upswing. Evangelical Christians represent less than 1% of the population and we have only two growing evangelical denominations.

Czech people are welcome and open, however, and there is freedom to share the gospel of Jesus, with many opportunities to serve. You can join a church-based partnership ministry and serve in many creative ways to kids, teenagers, seniors, people with addiction, socially disadvantaged people, etc.

Central and Eastern Europeans

Central and Eastern Europe has many communities where Christ is little known, to whom workers in our region are ideally equipped to go. SIM Czechia is establishing a sending and receiving base for new workers who want to reach such communities.

If you are interested in sharing the gospel with people in the Czech Republic or Central and Eastern Europe, please contact us at czech.office@sim.org.

Prayers

Pray for lasting spiritual fruit and impact among the unreached. There are workers in our team who serve in tough places. Pray for them to stay secure, to understand locals, and to find creative ways how to share the good news of Jesus.
