Where the sun doesnt shine

By Janita Geertsema | Bolivia in South America

“Not for all the mines of Potosí,” used to be a saying indicating the great wealth of the mines of Potosí. Today the mining industry is still important to the economy and the identity of this city in the highlands of Bolivia.

Those who go down daily in the mines enter one of the darkest places on earth, where the sun never shines and the devil is worshipped. But even there where the sun cannot shine, no one is beyond the reach of God.

SIM Bolivia reaches out to the miners of Potosí and dreams of them going in the mines singing praises to the Lord.

SIM is looking for more workers to join our Bolivia ministries.
