The vision of SIM Canada is to see a witness to Christ’s love where he is least known, disciples of Jesus expressing God’s love in their communities and Christ-centred churches, especially among new Canadians and marginalised communities.

Communities where Christ is least known

New Canadians

In 2019, Canada resettled almost 30,000 refugees. This is a growing community of people who may have come from countries unreached by the good news of Jesus. This is an opportunity for Canadians to share the gospel in communities where Christ is least known, right in our own backyard.

This has been especially evident through the recent Syrian refugee crisis. Many churches have sponsored families to come to Canada, which has also allowed these churches to welcome the newcomers into their church families. Pray for our Canada field workers who work directly with refugees. Pray they would have many opportunities to share the gospel and provide a safe place for refugees to feel welcome in Canada. Pray that Canadians will demonstrate the love and claims of Christ to refugees in their communities.
