We serve in most countries of West Africa, either directly through SIM offices or in partnership with others who share our heart to make Jesus known where He is least known.
We’re passionate about seeing lives transformed by the gospel and people equipped to live as faithful disciples of Jesus. If you’re interested in serving in this region, we’d love to hear from you.

Opportunities to serve in West Africa
Lead and Serve the SIM Team
We are a growing multi-cultural team who long to see God’s kingdom grow in our region. We have good partnerships with other missions and churches in our area. We are working to see these relationships continue to grow for God’s glory. We are currently seeking a personnel coordinator and business administrator to work in finance and leadership, as well as a teacher to work in a homeschool co-op setting with mission children. Together, we seek to develop skills in member care and administration and would welcome those with giftings and interests in those areas. French is the language for most administrative roles. Learning an additional local language would permit you to form relationships with one of the unreached people groups in our region.
African Missions Mobilisation Media
Launched in 2016, the African Missions Mobilisation Media Project addresses the scarcity of resources about the African Missions Movement. Its flagship publication, AfriGO (English), serves as the foundation for four additional editions: Allons-y (French), AfriTWENDE (Swahili), Afríde (Portuguese), and the recently added Andao (Malagasy). Collectively known as the A-Magazines, these publications cover timely topics to inform and inspire the African missions movement. The project maintains an active digital presence, with daily English posts on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and YouTube, and bi-weekly posts in Portuguese and Swahili. Social media in French and Malagasy is also being developed. Volunteers are needed to support this growing ministry, particularly those fluent in Swahili, French, Portuguese, or Malagasy. Opportunities include writing, research, graphic design, and website management. For more information, contact Stephen Nitte La’abes, SIM Project Lead, at Afrigo.Admin@sim.org. This strategic ministry equips African churches, missionaries, and prospective missionaries with resources to engage in the Great Commission worldwide.
Training Church Leaders
Our ministry is working in partnership with a growing but largely rural church. It seeks to train and equip church leaders such as pastors, evangelists, elders and lay personnel for church planting and mission. We have short or long-term opportunities for French-speaking teachers experienced in delivering theological education or specialist workshops in a variety of contexts.
