  • MK education

Do you like working with children and teenagers? We are looking for qualified school teachers, as well as those who could work in auxiliary roles such as dorm parenting, finance and admin, to enable families from SIM and likeminded organisations to stay on the field, knowing that their children's educational needs can be met. We place staff and interns at Dakar Academy (https://www.dakar-academy.org) and may also have opportunities for someone to be a homeschool teacher. Dakar Academy has a Christian ethos, but welcomes children from all backgrounds, so there are opportunities both to disciple those from Christian families and also to share the Good News with those who haven't heard.

  • English Teaching Centre

We are looking for native English speakers to join our team in a large city, teaching English as an additional language to university students and others. Classes are based around a secular curriculum but you would have opportunities to share wisdom from the Bible and discuss with students. You can also facilitate “drop in” sessions on discussion topics of your choice, and you will get to know students better and build friendships through our social events and day-camps. This work provides great opportunities to interact with open-minded, inquiring young people and share the message of the Bible with them in culturally appropriate ways!

  • Missionary Kid (MK) Care

Believing that no one should live or die without knowing Christ, we are concerned our Missionary Children often get overlooked. Not having access to the quality biblical teaching and fellowship from their sending countries, there is a void in the biblical discipleship available to our Missionary Kids. The aim of this ministry is to provide quality Christian education, discipleship and mentoring to shape the lives of young missionaries into a life lived with Jesus.

Mechanics, builders, electricians, and all around handy folks are immensely helpful to our ministry! SIM Liberia team members have the opportunity to model and teach principles of good stewardship and quality workmanship while solving technical problems alongside other workers.

  • Discipler of Disciples

We are focused on reaching the un-reached of the north in Mozambique so this role is designed to train Bible students (pastors and youth) to evangelize and plant churches among the unreached that surround the city. The discipleship and training will be among churches that need to have that vision or among small and young Yawo churches dot-ted in and around Lichinga. More than anyone, they need encouragement and good biblical discipleship. This fits perfectly into our strategy.
