We serve in most Pacific Asia, either directly through SIM offices or in partnership with others who share our heart to make Jesus known where He is least known.
We serve in the countries listed below, and in some that are not shown here. If you’re interested in serving in any Pacific Asia country, whether listed or not, we’d love to hear from you.

Opportunities to serve in Pacific Asia

Entrusted: Disability and Mission
Our aim is to raise awareness of people with disability in the community and in the church. Moreover, it seeks to enable and equip local disability ministries within SIM, develop and provide theological education/training in disability theology and ministry, and support SIM entities (and/or mission organisations in general) in becoming disability confident. A key part of the ministry objectives will be to recruit a team passionate about seeing the vision of the ministry fulfilled

Business Ministry
Through the platforms of Business as Missions (BAM), Profession as Mission (PAM), Business for Church Planting (B4CP) and training, financing and mentoring in Micro-Enterprise (ME) relationships with employees, clients and partners are developed that offer opportunities for Christian witness and discipleship.

Disadvantaged and Vulnerable
This is the first start-up of its kind in a country where over 300,000 people are in need of prosthetics or orthotics. If you have experience in 3D print engineering, as a bench-worker or as a prosthetist, you could share your knowledge and help train local employees. Your clients range in age from children to elderly. The workshop is located in a rural community.
Stories from Pacific Asia

Thailand is known as the Land of Smiles. Under some of those welcoming smiles, there is sometimes deep brokenness. B and his team have seen this.

Huge floods have brought devastation to northern Thailand and SIM workers are doing all they can to support the relief effort.

Gary and Barbara Bauman have served in Japan, where less than one per cent of the population is Christian, for more than 35 years.

I know there are many things I have to learn since arriving in Japan, and I didn’t expect that my first lesson would be about faithfulness.
