SIM Canada

The SIM Canada team journeys alongside workers and churches, helping prepare, send, and support those serving in Canada and around the world. Together, we are making disciples of Jesus in communities where He is not known and strengthening the Church through Gospel centred partnerships.

As one of the world’s most multicultural nations, Canada is home to people from every corner of the globe. Many come from places where there has been little opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus. Through partnerships with churches and ministries, SIM Canada equips and mobilizes people to make Christ known among all peoples.

Spiritual Landscape in Canada

Marginalised and immigrant communities

Canada is one of the most multicultural countries in the world. One out of four people living in Canada is a first-generation immigrant. We celebrate the wisdom of God who has brought SIM workers from a variety of countries and backgrounds here. Their specialised cultural experiences and insights are helping the Canadian church reach their new neighbours more effectively. SIM has 57 workers serving from coast to coast, building inroads for the gospel among marginalised and immigrant communities.

Communities Where Christ is Least Known

Immigrant and Marginalised Communities

Canada welcomes people from around the world, with approximately one in four residents being first-generation immigrants. Many arrive from regions where access to the Gospel has been limited.

God has brought people from many nations to Canada’s cities and communities, creating unique opportunities for ministry close to home. SIM workers serve across the country, partnering with local churches to build meaningful relationships, share the hope of Christ, and make disciples among people from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
