Mayotte ministries
Mayotte is a very unique region of France. The native population is close to 100 per cent Muslim and, while more than 70 per cent of the local people speak fluent French as a second language, the first languages are Shimaore and the lesser spoken Kibushi. Around 50 per cent of the population is made up of illegal immigrants from the Comoros, who are also Muslim. SIM workers use business and their professions to become accepted members of the community, build relationships and eventually share the gospel in private settings. For now, SIM's workers are focussing on the native population in the south of the main island. Could you use your business or professional skills to join this team?
Alafia – Hope for Life
Come alongside people living with HIV and their families in Benin as we seek to share about Hope for Life. We have a small but experienced team involved in medical treatment, providing holistic care and mentoring local volunteers. Our hope is that people living with HIV might experience new life in Christ, good physical health and healthy relationships free from stigma. Do you have skills in community development or youth work? We need people to encourage and grow local support groups and expand a teaching programme for young men and women. Children and youth workers, ideally French speaking, are also needed to help with holiday programmes.

Hidden Abilities
Hidden Abilities focuses on working with disabled children and their families in both the therapy center as well as in the homes of the children where physical therapy can be continued with the help of the broader family and community. The primary objective is for the children and their families to see the child as of great value, and that they will begin the process of learning how to gain skills for independence, selfcare, mobility, and school readiness. As the child and the family are together of great value in the sight of the Lord, we seek to point them, regardless of background, to the One who loves and values them most. The other objective is to promote professional training and understanding among health care professionals. Also to promote understanding and skills among families, and understanding and decrease prejudice among the general population in Bahir Dar.
