Mayotte ministries
Mayotte is a very unique region of France. The native population is close to 100 per cent Muslim and, while more than 70 per cent of the local people speak fluent French as a second language, the first languages are Shimaore and the lesser spoken Kibushi. Around 50 per cent of the population is made up of illegal immigrants from the Comoros, who are also Muslim. SIM workers use business and their professions to become accepted members of the community, build relationships and eventually share the gospel in private settings. For now, SIM's workers are focussing on the native population in the south of the main island. Could you use your business or professional skills to join this team?
Nhaneka Outreach
To provide agricultural and vocational training for young people, enabling them to become productive members of society and leaders in their local churches, and to reach the Nhaneka people with the gospel of Jesus Christ and establish among them a growing, maturing church. This ministry also includes Community Health initiatives through the Rio da Huila clinic and Tchincombe farm clinic, Farming God’s Way training, primary education through the Tchincombe school and Community Health Evangelism. We would welcome personnel in all of those ministries, so if you have gifts or experience of farming, teaching, health education or administration please get in touch.
Outreach to Cavango Clinic Village
This ministry is an outreach in partnership with the UIEA mission hospital of Cavango, in order to provide primary care to the remote and rural areas of this country with over 40 languages and a large rural population. We are targeting rural people groups who lack access to medical care and the good news of Jesus' affection for them. We serve the rural people in the remote area of the Cavango region. We are looking for medics in all specialities, but especially family doctors or general practitioners.
Alafia – Hope for Life
Come alongside people living with HIV and their families in Benin as we seek to share about Hope for Life. We have a small but experienced team involved in medical treatment, providing holistic care and mentoring local volunteers. Our hope is that people living with HIV might experience new life in Christ, good physical health and healthy relationships free from stigma. Do you have skills in community development or youth work? We need people to encourage and grow local support groups and expand a teaching programme for young men and women. Children and youth workers, ideally French speaking, are also needed to help with holiday programmes.
Outreach to marginalised patients in partnership with CEML, Rio da Huila
We serve the local community through high-quality medical care and teaching, which is how we reach impoverished and marginalised people with Christ-like compassion. In doing so, we strive to use the skills and talents of our staff to demonstrate the love of Christ to every person. Could you become part of this team? We need medics of all types, administrators and chaplains to join us.
Media and Publication Ministry
This ministry writes, records and broadcasts gospel messages in native languages for people groups throughout Ethiopia. We are looking for anyone with an interest in, or experience of, writing or producing such messages.
KIBIR
KIBIR is collaborating with the church to equip Christian business owners, graduates-professionals, university students and faith leaders for marketplace ministry. We also encourage our target groups to formulate intentional kingdom impact plans and expand them to Missional projects with four major bottom lines (spiritual – mission, social, economic, and environmental) in doing so we would like to see a redeemed marketplace without corruption.
Barnabas
We trains and equip local churches in Muslim areas of Ethiopia to reach out in love to their neighbours. We would welcome workers who feel called to train and equip church leaders to reach out to their Muslim neighbours.
