Entrusted: Disability and Mission
Our aim is to raise awareness of people with disability in the community and in the church. Moreover, it seeks to enable and equip local disability ministries within SIM, develop and provide theological education/training in disability theology and ministry, and support SIM entities (and/or mission organisations in general) in becoming “disability confident”. A key part of the ministry objectives will be to recruit a team passionate about seeing the vision of the ministry fulfilled
Equipping the Church for Mission through Business as Mission
Many Christian traders, employees and entrepreneurs do not know their daily work matters to God. They are his ambassadors for Christ in and through their work, Genesis 1:28, 2:15, Matthew 25:14-30, and Matthew 28:18-20. Our ministry aims to train and mentor this 'missing' frontline army of God in the northern regions of Ghana that God values them and that their daily work is to worship him and is missional.
Northern Thailand Church Planting
We are church planting among the unreached communities of northern Thailand. You would build relationships and share the gospel through personal evangelism, children’s ministry, music, sports, and language teaching. If you have experience or gifting in those areas we would love to hear from you. We desire to see biblical, reproducing churches reaching their own people and engaging in mission.
Community Development
To implement well-planned and positive actions that address the felt and actual needs within communities and bring about positive transformation.
OneLife Africa
OneLife Africa (OLA) focuses on the next generation of young leaders in high school, colleges and universities. OLA offers educational support to bright and needy students, discipling them through life decisions and equipping them to serve Christ in their spheres of influence. The OLA youth campus based in Kabarak, Nakuru County, runs holiday camps for high school, college and university students as well as a three to six=month residential gap-year programme for pre-university students. The six evangelistic camps per year occur over the Kenya high school holiday breaks. Camps are open to sponsored OLA students, young people from partnering churches and communities. The LEAD gap year programme draws young leaders who have demonstrated leadership potential and want to grow in their faith in Christ. An estimated 700 students will come through the OLA youth campus each year.
Wholeness Ministry
This ministry engages Christian leaders to become mentally, emotionally and spiritually whole leaders, and equips them for inner life discipleship and trauma healing.
Leadership and Support Services
To ensure that SIM South Africa policies and processes provide for supportive services for workers in South Africa and workers sent from South Africa, services that are undergirded by the principles of accuracy, accountability, efficiency and integrity.
Next Generation
We long for all the children and young people in Benin to have a personal encounter with Jesus. Given at least 40 per cent of the population is under 14, this is no easy task! We are looking for outgoing, French-speaking people who love young people and are willing to work alongside the local church and para-church organisations so that more of Benin’s next generation might hear the truths of the Bible. We need people to help equip and encourage leaders to run children’s clubs, people to use sport as a platform to build relationships and share gospel hope, and people to invest in the lives of university students. Another vital need is school teachers to help grow and encourage a biblical worldview of education.
International student ministry
To partner with local churches to train and coordinate local church members in reaching out to international students in universities near those churches.
Mobilisation for Mission
Serving with like-minded organisations and churches in Ghana, which share the vision to see the Ghanaian church sending out workers into cross-cultural ministry. Our mobilisation teams will work to ignite a passion within the churches for the millions across the globe who have little witness to Christ. Through a deeper understanding of God’s word and greater knowledge of the peoples of his world, our prayer is that many will respond to the heart call of God to take the good news of Jesus to places where he is least known.
