Evangelism through Community Development
Combat poverty. Educate. Reach the unreached. Change lives. We are utilizing various methods to engage with locals, both in the city and in the village, with "tools" to meet their needs while opening the door for relationships and direct gospel teaching, and eventually, new communities of believers. One of our main ministry efforts is Foundations for Farming. Come work with us and expand its reach. The fruit and tremendous impact of this ministry is incredible and we have seen life-changing fruit over and over among the communities where we have worked. It is more than a presentation. Other ventures are palliative and hospice care, youth sports ministry, tutoring, and TESOL.
Theological Education/Discipleship of Church Leaders
We seek to provide solid Biblical teaching and relational discipleship while also providing contextual training such as oral Bible storying as a way to grow in their relationship with Christ, to present the Gosgel, and as a crucial method in the discipleship of other believers. The opportunities are endless for discipleship and theological education as Mozambique is one of the least educated countries in Africa. A masters in theological education does not yet exist in country. In efforts to build up and train church leade - a theological training school in Lichinga, northern Mozambique. The vision is to impart a living faith in its students which will then bleed over into the churches. Ample opportunities to plug into this growing and flourishing project are crucial to the SIM Moz vision. Youth Evangelism and Discipleship
We employ various ministry methods to develop relationships with young people in northern Mozambique in order to share God's love and redemption with this generation. We have ministries in tutoring, English classes, Bible classes, and sports. We are looking for self-starters to continue and expand these ministries because there is no lack of opportunity here. We also are calling others to begin new ministries to reach this vibrant and open group of unreached young men and women.
Leadership and Administration Services
Come and strengthen our workers and staff through administrative support, leadership development, and training in order to care for and develop more effective ministers of the gospel in South Sudan and to those in the diaspora in East Africa. We are looking for people who love the Lord and have a passion for administrative and leadership roles to come and support our multi-cultural team. We have opportunities for: • Nairobi Office Administrator – Assisting the director, note-taking during meetings, managing files and assisting in the updating of Synergie and other SIM internal databases. • Deputy Director/COO - Filling in for the director when he/she is on home assignment or travelling. Works closely with the director to manage staff, helping to implement the strategy and vision with the team. • Personnel Director/Coordinator – To resource, care for and develop our workers. Ensure our people are in compliance with SIM policies, principles and practices. Liaise with new enquirers and actively coordinate with sending entities. • Field Logistics Manager – ensuring planning and implementation of procedures related to flights, field orders, ordering fuel, prioritising cargo, developing supply chains in country. • Field Administrator – to manage the field office, taking care of paperwork related to local and national government, keeping up to date on costs and requirements of immigration and work permits. The post-holder would also ensure orientations of new people and visitors. • Field Accountant – working with field project managers to get field cash reports into the Finance department in a timely manner. • Pastoral Care Workers - to care for those in challenging humanitarian situations • Computer and IT Technicians - Helping the team with software and hardware issues as well as managing our network in South Sudan. • Health Coordinator – ensuring our workers are healthy and have access to the resources necessary for medical care. • Field Warehouse Manager – Organising our tools and supplies, receiving materials and ensuring we have what we need to operate in the country. • Security Coordinator – Checking security updates, doing risk assessments, contingency planning and team training while coordinating with SIM International security to ensure our team is prepared and not putting ourselves at unnecessary risk. (Trust God, act wisely) • Short-Term Missions Coordinator – Plans and coordinates with the field to bring out short-term workers, both local and international, to assist in accomplishing our mission and vision. This will include bringing in people to train church leaders, assist with evangelism, help with our medical clinic through training and clinical work, maintenance of vehicles, solar and general property upkeep/improvements, etc. You can also join us as a prayer partner. We long to see a team that is thriving in their work as they use their gifts, passions, and skills to love others and love God.
Children’s Ministry
This ministry covers all issues pertaining to children, including Sunday school training, early learning, orphans and vulnerable children, child trafficking prevention, family support and enrichment, schools Christian associations, Bible teaching in schools and sports ministry. We would love teachers and children's workers, or anyone with experience of working with children, to come and join us.
Finance/Treasury
We are looking for someone to help with the financial administration of SIM Zambia. Ideally, you would have an accounting background and have worked in finance before but full training will be given.
Vocational Training to Transform Unreached Communities
We need people interested in delivering vocational training who have experience in various trades, business and practical life skills who are passionate about reaching unreached communities. If you are an experienced plumber, electrician, air conditioner repair person, pipe fitter, mechanic, builder, solar installer, seamstress or tailor there is a place for you in North Africa. You will work to teach and train others in your skillset, passing on your knowledge while also teaching integrity and other life skills. Long-term, a willingness to learn Arabic is essential but short-term is also welcome.
SIM Australia Home Ministry
• To follow Jesus in his mission, both in Australia and overseas. • To inspire and partner with churches to fulfil God’s local, cross-cultural and global mission. • To mobilise and equip mission workers to reach the least-reached with the gospel, both locally (through the Across ministry) and globally. • As stewards, provide efficient and effective support services to help churches, mission workers, donors and prayer partners do their works of service. • To promote ways for people to play their part in God’s global mission, whether that be through ministry opportunities, prayerful support or financial partnership

We are looking for an accountant, or someone with accountancy experience, to take care of all our accounting needs in Zambia. This is a great opportunity for anyone with a financial background to get involved in mission! You will receive full training before taking over the responsibility.
