Reaching, Teaching and Discipling Youth
You can have an eternal impact among young people in a country with deep needs and in which nearly 50 per cent of the population are children. SIM Nigeria has opportunities for teacher trainers and mentors, support workers for teachers in rural schools, work with at-risk children, ESL teachers, and teachers for front-line mission worker children. We also need skllled tradespeople to help young people with vocational training, which can provide them with life skills and hope for the future and also great opportunities for evangelism and discipleship among those being trained. Likewise, those with a background in sports and coaching are needed to help reach and disciple youth through the international ministry of Sports Friends.
Leadership and Services
Support all the ministries in their vision to see thousands of healthy churches composed of disciples of Jesus coming from the majority background established throughout this South Asian nation through leadership and services.
Training Bolivian Church Planters
God is raising Bolivians with a clarion call for church planting and mission in Bolivia’s capital city, La Paz However, it is a challenge for them to find training and support from their local churches. The SIM La Paz team longs for God to establish a coalition of Bolivian churches which is biblically and financially committed to planting gospel-focused, disciple-making, missional churches. For this reason, we are providing training for church planters and their wives, as well as training for churches to ignite missional, life-on-life discipleship movements in their congregations so they can send out mature and equipped believers who are passionate about declaring and demonstrating the gospel, whether across the street or around the world. The SIM La Paz team needs discipleship and church-planting trainers and a person to mobilise churches and individual believers toward missional living and giving.
MK education
Do you like working with children and teenagers? We are looking for qualified school teachers, as well as those who could work in auxiliary roles such as dorm parenting, finance and admin, to enable families from SIM and likeminded organisations to stay on the field, knowing that their children's educational needs can be met. We place staff and interns at Dakar Academy (https://www.dakar-academy.org), and may also have opportunities for homeschool teachers. Dakar Academy has a Christian ethos, but welcomes children from all backgrounds, so there are opportunities both to disciple those from Christian families and also to share the good news with those who haven't heard.
Mobilising for Missions
Come and join our international and multi-cultural team as we serve in a rural community in South Sudan. We work alongside the local population as well as a large refugee community. We are looking for people who love the Lord and have a passion for sharing the good news with others. We need those gifted in writing our stories about what God is doing in South Sudan, media workers such as photographers and videographers, and mobilisers to help add more workers to join our team. You may also join us as a prayer partner! We welcome short-term mission workers as well as those looking to serve long-term. We need new team members to join us who are interested in South Sudan and have skills and gifts to add value to our team, even if only for a season. We long to see more workers join us in our work in South Sudan!
Sending East African Missionaries
EASO exists to facilitate the sending of global mission workers from churches in East Africa.
Supporting SIM Kenya Ministries
SIM Kenya ministry teams are supported to do life and ministry well.
Mobilisation
We do local church trainings on mission, lead short-term mission trips, and come alongside local churches to send out their own mission workers. Our personnel needs include people passionate about mobilising for mission to train local churches and people who can help organise and run short-term mission trips.
Business Ministries
We work primarily in unreached parts of the world where traditional mission workers may not be allowed access. We bring transformation to communities where Christ is least known through: 1. Business As Mission strategies to start viable businesses that have spiritual, financial, social, and environmental impact in their communities. 2. Equipping and sending qualified professionals to the market place in unreached countries. 3. Developing businesses for sustainable church planting. 4. Creating micro-enterprise businesses in marginalised populations as an integrated strategy to address poverty and injustice in the long-term.
Healthy People and Mission
We are looking for people to join our SIM Benin Togo leadership and services team to help care for our cross-cultural workers, staff and local partners. Do you have skills in finance, including the preparation of annual budgets and local tax reports? Or skills in pastoral care, as we seek to visit and support our workers regularly? Come and use these gifts to help our workers and local partners flourish in a wide variety of settings, including ministries among least reached people groups and the next generation. Our admin team is based in a rural city and a working knowledge of French would be helpful.
