Mission work is all about sharing the love and message of Jesus with people who may never have heard it before. Christian mission workers are sent by their churches to different parts of the world, sometimes far from home, to share the message of Jesus and help support and strengthen local churches.
They might work in cities or remote villages, in schools, hospitals, or churches, always with the aim of showing God’s love through both words and actions. At the heart of mission work is a desire to see lives transformed, spiritually, emotionally and physically, through the hope found in Jesus Christ.
Mission workers are motivated by Jesus’ command, known as the Great Commission, to “go and make disciples of all nations.” But they’re also driven by compassion, a deep desire to serve others, stand up for justice, and walk alongside people in difficult circumstances. Whether they’re sharing the gospel, offering healthcare, teaching, or helping during crises, mission workers aim to make a lasting difference.
Mission work is not one-size-fits-all — it’s about being available to God and using the gifts He’s given, wherever they’re needed most.
