Lead and Serve the SIM Team
We are a growing multi-cultural team who long to see God’s kingdom grow in our region. We have good partnerships with other missions and churches in our area. We are working to see these relationships continue to grow for God’s glory. We are currently seeking a personnel coordinator and business administrator to work in finance and leadership, as well as a teacher to work in a homeschool co-op setting with mission children. Together, we seek to develop skills in member care and administration and would welcome those with giftings and interests in those areas. French is the language for most administrative roles. Learning an additional local language would permit you to form relationships with one of the unreached people groups in our region.
Sharing Life in Church and Community
We'd love to welcome those with a heart for sharing life with the peoples of the Middle East. For those willing to invest initially in Arabic language, there is a wide range of options for service - including church-based, ministry or NGO roles, theological education, teaching, community healthcare, sport and other professional roles. As we share life, we share His life - encouraging, learning from and serving with local believers.
African Missions Mobilisation Media
Launched in 2016, the African Missions Mobilisation Media Project addresses the scarcity of resources about the African Missions Movement. Its flagship publication, AfriGO (English), serves as the foundation for four additional editions: Allons-y (French), AfriTWENDE (Swahili), Afríde (Portuguese), and the recently added Andao (Malagasy). Collectively known as the A-Magazines, these publications cover timely topics to inform and inspire the African missions movement. The project maintains an active digital presence, with daily English posts on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and YouTube, and bi-weekly posts in Portuguese and Swahili. Social media in French and Malagasy is also being developed. Volunteers are needed to support this growing ministry, particularly those fluent in Swahili, French, Portuguese, or Malagasy. Opportunities include writing, research, graphic design, and website management. For more information, contact Stephen Nitte La’abes, SIM Project Lead, at Afrigo.Admin@sim.org. This strategic ministry equips African churches, missionaries, and prospective missionaries with resources to engage in the Great Commission worldwide.
S.H.I.N.E. Africa Project
We teach how the honour-shame dynamics of Scripture relate to cultural dynamics. Are you interested in equipping people with this knowledge and seeing transformation in lives for God's glory? if so, please contact us.
Training Church Leaders
Our ministry is working in partnership with a growing but largely rural church. It seeks to train and equip church leaders such as pastors, evangelists, elders and lay personnel for church planting and mission. We have short or long-term opportunities for French-speaking teachers experienced in delivering theological education or specialist workshops in a variety of contexts.
Equipping the Church
Ministry Point Persons for Church Planting, Literacy & Translation, Theological & Missiological Education, and Literature come alongside our leadership teams and work with SIM workers and partners, encouraging them in their ministries and discipleship, linking them to productive partnerships, equipping them for effectiveness, and sharing resources.
East Africa Regional Services
East Africa Regional Services provides high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective services which are relevant and significant to SIM entities in East and Central Africa Region. The leadership teams and ministry workers are given the opportunity to concentrate more on the ministry activities with less disruption by administrative tasks. The ministry provides financial, human resources, government liaison and media services to the supported entities.
Church Leadership Training
By faith, we see: - believers being called into leadership - believers being equipped and mentored to fulfill leadership roles within their community - church communities being taught and led by well-equipped leaders
Mobilization
We mobilize and equip churches, groups, and individuals of all ages to play their role as senders and goers for local and global missions through distributing materials, attending and hosting functions, where meaningful mobilization discussions take place.
Support Services
This ministry will equip, develop, and help financially support our workers and partners through leadership and worker development, retreats, seminars, and a ministry worker support scheme.
