Discipling New Believers
We long to see the church take root and flourish among an influential, yet gospel-resistant people group in West Africa. A small team is already involved in Bible teaching and developing a discipleship and agricultural training centre. However, we are also looking for people to live in a regional city, build relationships among the community and demonstrate Christ’s love in practical ways. This could involve activities such as starting a small business (the community has deep roots in commerce and trade}, engaging youth through sport or teaching English as a second language. A working knowledge of French is essential and learning a local language strongly encouraged.
Urban Northwest Ministry Team
The urban ministry team Northwest seeks to plant self-sustaining churches in a mega-city by December, 2030. The team also aims to plant new churches around the country by preparing more disciples. We'd love you to join the team and help us build up healthy congregations together!
Muslim Outreach
We long to see a Christ-centred, contextual church planted among an influential, yet gospel-resistant people group in West Africa. A small team is already in place, involved in Bible translation and literacy work. However, we would also like to offer English classes as a practical way of serving and building relationships. We also want to strengthen our digital presence to help more people access Christian resources and understand the gospel. To do this, we are looking for a certified TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) teacher as well as a tech-savvy person who enjoys engaging through social media and developing online tools. Both roles would involve working alongside an established national church and require a functional level of French. Learning a local language would also be strongly encouraged.
Serving at the Margins
We'd love to welcome those with a heart for sharing life with disadvantaged Middle Eastern communities and marginalised refugee/migrant communities. After initial investment in Arabic language study, there are a range of options for serving in partnership with local churches and ministries, contributing to educational, development, vocational training and discipleship programmes.
Reaching Migrant Workers
Using professional or international church platforms, we seek to build relationships with expatriates and migrant workers from least-reached countries in order to share love and truth, make disciples and equip/mobilise believers to be witnesses to their hosts, among compatriots and in their home countries. There are professional openings in a variety of areas, especially engineering, IT, teaching and healthcare – including hospital positions for physicians, nurses, midwives and more.
Serving our Hosts
Come and join us and other cross-cultural workers as we serve in professional capacities to impact this region and its people. Working in business or professional positions, we use our skills to contribute to our host countries, modelling integrity and good business practice, sensitively sharing love and truth with those we live and work alongside, and encouraging the local church. There are openings in a variety of areas, especially engineering, IT, teaching and healthcare – including hospital positions for physicians, nurses, midwives and more.
Reaching Young People
Come and join us to reach the children and young people of the Middle East! Nearly half the region’s population is 24 or younger, and we long to see this generation encounter Jesus, respond to his call and become effective members of his church and witnesses for him. We work mainly in urban contexts, serving with local Christians in church programmes, formal and informal education, youth and student work and through sport. There are opportunities for qualified teachers at both elementary and secondary level, teachers’ assistants, ESL teachers, youth workers and vocational trainers.
Hope for a Neglected Majority
Come and join us as we serve communities that have for too long been robbed of hope because of oppression, division and mismanagement. We're looking for flexible and resilient colleagues to serve - particularly in occupational therapy, special educational needs or associated professions, or in teaching English as a second language. Opportunities in other healthcare, development and professional roles could also be explored. As we serve, we bring hope to these neglected communities.
Serving Refugees and the Displaced
We'd love to welcome those with a heart for sharing life marginalised displaced, refugee and migrant communities in the Middle East. After initial investment in language study, there are a range of options for serving in partnership with local churches and ministries, contributing to educational, development, vocational training and discipleship programmes.
Lead and Serve the SIM Team
We are a growing multi-cultural team who long to see God’s kingdom grow in our region. We have good partnerships with other missions and churches in our area. We are working to see these relationships continue to grow for God’s glory. We are currently seeking a personnel coordinator and business administrator to work in finance and leadership, as well as a teacher to work in a homeschool co-op setting with mission children. Together, we seek to develop skills in member care and administration and would welcome those with giftings and interests in those areas. French is the language for most administrative roles. Learning an additional local language would permit you to form relationships with one of the unreached people groups in our region.
