Mustafa's Miracle
Through an incredible encounter of God’s power over witchcraft, Mustafa became a believer--and his friend Nabi made plans to kill him.
North Africa
Mustafa and Nabi*
Mustafa and Nabi were Musllm friends growing up. Mustafa was Nabi's teacher for their holy book. Through an incredible encounter of God’s power over witchcraft, Mustafa became a believer. Nabi's uncle told him that Mustafa had become an infidel. Nabi's Muslim community conspired with Nabi to kill Mustafa and told him they would take him to a neighbouring country to be safe from the local authorities after he killed Mustafa.
So Nabi invited Mustafa to spend the night at his home, as he had done many times before. After they went to sleep, Nabi waited for the right moment. Then he grabbed his knife and leaned over Mustafa to kill him. Suddenly, Mustafa felt something warm run through his veins - he woke up and looked Nabi in the eyes. Nabi felt a strong, invisible arm holding his wrist back. No matter how hard he tried, he literally could not stab Mustafa! Nabi threw the knife on the ground and the next morning repented and believed in the God who showed divine power to hold back his hand from killing his friend.
Now Nabi and Mustafa are both evangelists, travelling from village to village in their zone, spreading the love of Isa al-Masih with the people of peace they find along the way.
Pray for the many North African Muslims who are so close to coming to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Pray that God will shine his light into their hearts, just as He did for Nabi, so that they will turn and follow Jesus.
