    We desire to see the Namibian church passionate and equipped for involvement in God's mission in Namibia and the world. Therefore, we do local church trainings regarding mission, lead short-term mission trips, and come alongside local churches to send out their own mission workers. Personnel needs include people passionate about mobilizing for mission to train local churches and people who can help organize and run short-term mission trips.

  • Frontline work with Canadian human trafficking victims

    Does your heart break for the countless girls and young women exploited in the sex trade? SIM envisions that the number of youth facing exploitation and human trafficking in the Canadian sex trade will decline when local churches provide community leadership, healing environments and social supports which promote spiritual, physical and mental health for vulnerable young people. SIM seeks a frontline worker who will minister directly to exploited young women and work with churches in the Greater Toronto area to build capacity for spiritual care and community support for this group.

  • Serving at the Margins- Internship

    nightlight Canada, a SIM Canada partner ministry and a multi-denominational Christian ministry, operates drop-in centres in Belleville, Cambridge and Kingston, Ontario that service those on the margins. We believe that one of the most devastating and under-addressed forms of poverty is relational poverty. nightlight seeks to address this through adult drop-in centres, safe places to build meaningful relationships, where we invite in anyone who wants to come, including those who would normally be excluded. We serve refreshments and a place for people to play games, chat, and build relationships.

    We are reaching out to the unreached Asian communities in Malawi with the gospel in order to bring them to the saving knowledge of Christ and making disciples with the aim of forming a worshipping and missional community.   • Radio and Media

    Working in partnership with a SIM-related church, this ministry seeks to use radio and other forms of media to ensure that every ethnic community in Benin and Togo has the opportunity to hear, understand and be transformed by the gospel in their own language. Currently, more than 1,000 gospel-centred radio messages are produced every year in 22 languages. Short or long-term opportunities exist for people skilled in new media, web or app development and communications specialists.

    To see English teachers with a desire to be salt and light in the classroom strategically placed in language centers and local universities in North Africa. As they do their jobs with integrity, they will also be an incarnational witness in their communities.

  • Growing Church Leaders

    Working in partnership with a SIM-related church, this ministry desires to see a growing network of trained pastors and ministry workers who know and humbly work to apply the word of God and are equipped to lead all believers into maturity and multiplication. Short or long-term opportunities exist for French-speaking teachers experienced in delivering theological education or specialist workshops in a variety of contexts. Trained librarians or accountants could also fill support roles, helping to upskill church leaders or strengthen Bible School administration.

  • English Teaching Centre

    We are looking for native English speakers to join our team in a large city, teaching English as an additional language to university students and others. Classes are based around a secular curriculum but you would have opportunities to share wisdom from the Bible and discuss with students. You can also facilitate “drop in” sessions on discussion topics of your choice, and you will get to know students better and build friendships through our social events and day-camps. This work provides great opportunities to interact with open-minded, inquiring young people and share the message of the Bible with them in culturally appropriate ways!

  • SIM Stories East Africa

    Join a team of communicators who are telling what God is doing through SIM across East Africa. Whether you are a writer, a photographer, a videographer, gifted in social media or graphic design, you could become part of our team. Your work will be published on sim.org and on other SIM websites, magazines and social media. It will inspire others to join God's global mission and transform lives around the world.

    SIM seeks to serve among diaspora communities and engage in meaningful ways as we engage them with the good news of the gospel. The mission team will engage in community exegesis, and based on the outcome, contextualise, plan and prepare ministry programmes.
