Sports Friends

Sports Friends trains and equips local churches and church planters to use the platform of sports for church planting, evangelism and discipleship. Church leaders in many countries in Asia, Africa and South America are seeking new and creative strategies to relate with their youth populations. Sports is a magnet that attracts people and creates an environment where relationships can be built. This leads to opportunities to share the love and Word of God.

Sports Friends' vision and focus is to develop sustainable sports ministry programs that are fully managed and funded by the local church.

Prayers

1

Pray for God to bring the right people to fill our positions. Pray for provision and peace for those raising support and for those who are underfunded.

2

Pray for our 10,000+ coaches. Pray that God would give them strength, wisdom, and joy as they mentor and disciple youth through their teams.

3

Pray for the 150,000+ youth whom we serve, that God’s truth would be revealed and that they would become a generation devoted to Christ.

4

Pray for strength, wisdom, and joy for all of our missionaries.

5

Pray that our relationships with church denominations would continue to be fruitful and unified. Pray for open doors for new partnerships in all regions so that that we may train even more churches in sports ministry.

6

Pray for special protection, favor, and wisdom for our many coaches serving in difficult and dangerous places, particularly in Northeastern Nigeria, Kenya, and parts of Southeast Asia. Pray that they would be agents of peace in these unstable regions.
