‘One anothers: Join us for 10 Days of Prayer

We invite you to join with us in SIM’s 10 Days of Prayer from May 21-30. SIM holds this dedicated time of prayer annually between the Ascension of Christ and Pentecost. This year, we will look at ‘one anothers’ present in God’s Word.

SIM International Director Dr Joshua Bogunjoko said: “When we chose the theme of ‘one anothers’ for the 10 Days of Prayer for the year 2020, we had no idea that the term ‘social distancing’ would also emerge in our global vocabulary and become a daily reality. Yet the many biblical ‘one anothers’ are more relevant now than ever in a time of physical distancing. The New Testament alone has 59 one anothers.

“Regional Director for Southern Africa Siegfried Ngubane has selected 10 for us to mediate on and use as a theme for prayer. May these ancient one anothers take on new meaning and relevance in our personal and corporate lives during a modern era of quarantine, isolation and social distancing.”

Recovered health and renewed faith

Louise and a team from ELWA Hospital traveled to a remote village for a pop-up clinic. While there they treated many patients. One of these was a boy whose father had prior doubts about Christianity. Thanks to medication the team brought, the boy's health was restored, and in turn, his father's faith was renewed.
