The objective of this project is to develop, implement, and evaluate a program, with the support of the Ethiopian government, that makes culturally relevant, quality education accessible to Mursi people of all ages, male and female.

The program teaches:

1. useful community-enriching and empowering life-skills, knowledge, and attitudes,
2. how to excel in formal education and training opportunities in order to serve their community and nation,
3. the truth about God.

Our goal is for the Mursi to grow both in their understanding of God and their world. We long for the time when the Mursi know God and can live without fear of the spirit world. This project will help the marginalized Mursi people by allowing them to participate in their regional and local issues. It will also help to cultivate good relationships with the local government officials.

The project is well-linked with other SIM development projects in the area.
