Mekelle Youth Center (MYC) gives young people hope and opportunity as they learn practical and life-affirming skills in a loving and positive environment. Over 60% of the Ethiopian population is under the age of 21, and young people have few constructive places to spend their time. They depend upon their English skills (which is difficult as English is not their first language) to advance in school and they deal with the devastating reality of HIV/AIDS daily.

MYC provides English and Computer teaching, HIV/AIDS education, a Library/Reading Room, Sports and Recreation programs, a café and opportunities for students to develop character, learn biblical values and develop leadership skills. Our location in Mekelle, Ethiopia gives us many opportunities within the community and surrounding countryside to develop relationships and impact individual lives in a profound and eternal way.
