The Tikempt Ishet Health Program in Ethiopia meets a great need for medical care in the area. Much community work remains with regard to prevention and health education. SIM has been assisting with supplies for government health posts. This, along with reaching out to communities with immunizations, gives us an open door to share Christ and to encourage those who already believe.

Tikempt Ishet is approximately 600 km southwest of Ethiopia's captital, Addis Ababa, in the remote highlands among animistic, settled agriculturalists. This growing health center provides a base for immunization, health education, and potential work in community health and prevention.

The Tikempt Ishet Health program is a vital extension the local church. Patients come for physical needs as well as spiritual help and freedom from demons. They hear about Jesus often for the first time. The persence and impact of the center has empowered the Me’en Church to disciple her own members and to share the Gospel to neighbouring peoples and beyond.
