In Cotahuasi, Peru, what began as a missionary home for Brad and Gina Shaw and family is now the hub for ministry. An "open door" to needy people and a community approach to ministry have slowly transformed it into a center that is known as "The Mission".

A busy and fruitful location, it provides housing for two families plus several Quechua missionaries, a multipurpose room for library, Bible book store, and group Bible study/conference room, a workshop, plus volleyball courts used for youth groups, a corral to keep the mules used for visiting communities without roads, small fields for farming animal feed, and a radio studio (for the FM station which is currently development). It is where teams meet, relationships grow, discipleship occurs, and resources are shared.

An Opportunity to Invest

Currently the Shaws rent this property, but the owner wants to sell it and has given the mission first option to purchase it. Though maintenance-intensive, there is no other property available in the canyon that could function in the same capacity, providing security, proximity, and continuity to the practical work that has continued to grow in Cotahuasi since its beginning in 2001.

With the purchase of the property and some needed improvements, the ministry will be able to flourish for a long time to come.
