The majority of Malawians are under the age of 25, and SIM Malawi is committed to reaching these youth. One way we can do this is through sports! Teaching a sport and befriending youth at the Blantyre Youth Center opens doors to communicate the love of Christ and to disciple youth toward maturity.

Teach a team sport and build relationships with urban unchurched youth at Blantyre Youth Center. Responsibilities include leading practices twice a week and organizing and coaching teams in an end of term tournament. Possible sports include basketball, tennis, netball, volleyball, and soccer/football.

You will also be involved with the weekly Young Life Club. Other days of the week, you will focus on casual relationships, hanging out with the youth. Your focus will be building relationships and getting involved in the lives of youth through the Youth Center. This relationship building requires a minimum investment of 4-6 months. You will be working directly with the Young Life Malawi staff and volunteers at the youth center.
