Zion Evangelical Bible School (ZEBS) offers short, intensive courses for pastors and church leaders. These classes equip AmaZioni church leaders with a working knowledge of the Bible and spiritual leadership. Recently, another class of students received their diplomas from ZEBS.

One of the teachers at ZEBS, Godfrey Maseko, a graduate of ZEBS who now teaches with the missionaries, wrote the following tribute to the school:

AN ODE TO ZEBS

Hail mighty ZEBS, hail Behold your wonderful works among the AmaZioni. An incredible wisdom you have revealed, To those who were formerly blind.

Your fame is highly esteemed. Great soldiers of the Word you have made In Africa the land of the fortunate millions, Many were blind; but now they see. The cobwebs of ignorance have been removed.

We have seen with admiration, Great men and women, from the west. (missionaries) Abandon their homes, relatives and friends. Like Abraham of old, they never doubted or questioned God’s instructions, to go and make disciples.

What a big impact they made in Africa. Their presence and work created a wisdom well. Where darkness and hopelessness, engulfed many, They brought brightness and life renewed.

Forward, wonderful ZEBS, forward. Unlike the teachers of the Law and the Pharisees, They travelled land and air to make converts, And helped them to live holy lives.

Forward daughters and sons of Zion, Forward and onward Christian soldiers, Marching as to war. Put on the armour of God against the devil, Carry the torch of the Word to the world, And fulfil God’s great commission.

We have proudly witnessed a wonderful spectacle. Africans, young and old dedicate themselves To learn the ever living Word of God. They have toiled and graduated with joy. And they are serving the Lord with pride.

Thanks to you faithful messengers of God. The fruits of your labour are evident. You have put the light on the table For all to see the wonders of God. Your reward will be great in heaven.

We thank the Lord for your wonderful servanthood, Through your loyalty to God we say We will extol the Lord at all times His praise will always be on our lips Our souls will boast in the Lord.
