The Forgotten Tape Player
by Howie and Reb Ellis
8 March 2006
Man with radio

Last summer Howie took a group of Fulani men and women to a Bible camp east of Zinder, Niger, the first of its kind in this region of the country. There were about 40 Fulani people extremely excited to be together to study God's Word in their own language. Some have been Christians for a while, but others are fairly new in their faith. They all soaked up the teaching with evident pleasure.

One group of men had become Christians after being given cassette tapes and a wind-up player ten years ago. They hadn't seen the missionary who gave them the tapes until a few weeks ago, but they showed him they still had the whole set, and the player still worked!
