SIM Signs Agreement with Namibian Education Ministry
8 October 2007
On September 11, SIM and the Namibia Minister of Education signed a Technical Assistance Agreement. This agreement allows SIM to recruit teachers for the Namibian schools, helping to alleviate the shortage of qualified teachers in Namibia. Jenny Boshoff and Dagmar Henchoz were there to sign the agreement on behalf of SIM. "I’m very glad that we could sign this agreement again. In the past we have had a number of teachers coming to Namibia and all of them have been a great asset. The students love to have teachers who also have time for them outside of the school hours," Dagmar said. "I’m convinced that the teachers not only are a benefit to Namibia but that Namibia will be a benefit to them. To live and work in a different culture can be a real challenge, but doing it has also a lot of rewards." GoAre you an experienced teacher? See how God can use you in Namibia |
