In some parts of Kenya, the violence is increasing again after disputed elections in December. However, the SIM team is preparing to have their annual Spiritual Life Conference as planned from January 31-February 4.

Dwight Hazard, SIM Kenya director, reports that while it is safe in Nairobi and at the conference center, about 45 minutes north of the SIM compound in Nairobi, there has been trouble in villages between them. The team has found an alternative route the conference and is asking for prayer for safe travel and that nothing would hinder the team for gathering for this much-needed time of refreshment and encouragement.
