Political Uncertainty in Pakistan

Violence and uncertainty have followed the assassination of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto on December 27. Rev. Johan Candelin, Executive Director of World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) Religious Liberty Commission, remembered Bhutto as a woman "who had great respect for the Christian faith and protected all religious minorities." He said, “She told me several times that she wanted to work for Pakistan where a Jew could go to the synagogue, a Christian to the church and a Muslim to the mosque—all without any fear.” Please pray for the Bhutto family and for the nation of Pakistan in the wake of this tragedy.
