Political Tensions in Bolivia
14 December 2007

In Bolivia, the political tension is rising after a new constitution was approved last weekend. Four provinces have declared autonomy in opposition to the new constitution.

On Saturday, December 15, a celebration in honor of the new constitution will take place. In the four opposing provinces, the local governments will officially implement their autonomies.

Please pray

  • that there will not be violent protests.
  • for a peaceful resolution to the tensions.
  • that God will use the Bolivian church and SIM missionaries to remind people to look to him during times of uncertainty.
