Open Doors in Mozambique
1 April 2005
Mozambique is a nation quickly leaving its war-weary past and moving towards a brighter future. Our SIM team of 20 people has moved by faith into the very neglected province of Niassa in the far north to love and live among the Yao and Makhuwa people groups. The Team's vision is to see a growing local church, developed by Mozambican leaders who know and love the Bible, and who teach and live the truth. The Team is realizing this vision through basic church planting and discipleship, Bible translation into local languages, theological education, ESL teaching, and more. Most important, they are trusting God to bring more team members with skills in areas ranging from agricultural development to community health to HIV/AIDS work.
GoSIM and our partners on the ground in Mozambique are asking God for creative, adventuresome, team-oriented people who love Jesus with all their hearts. Such individuals must be willing to pour their talents and time into the dream of a Mozambican church that is mature, relevant, and transformational. Will you consider joining us in this vision?
