Language Learning Builds Relationships
29 June 2007

A worker in India writes:

I look forward "Nikki," my language helper's arrival every day. I bring her a glass of cold water, turn on the fan and sit down to chat for a few minutes before starting the official lesson.

A few weeks ago, she opened her heart to me and asked for advice on a matter I have absolutely no experience in. She believes in God and had visited temples, mosques, and churches in search of the solution to her problem. I was able to share some very personal and meaningful parts of God's word with her that she really appreciated.

I sense that my friend simply wants her prayer to be answered rather than to really find the Truth. I am sad that whether or not she gets the answer she wants, she'll soon discover that more problems will arise in her life.

Please pray:

  • for our Nikki to seek and find the Truth.
  • for our workers to persevere in the task of language learning.
  • for many people in India to know the love of Christ.
