A Call to Committment

During the Seize the Day process, a number of ethos issues emerged. They are part of SIM and have been vital in shaping the organization over its history, but they deserve special mention again at this time of change.

Faith Effects

About 80 recommendations emerged from the Seize the Day review, and these will define our road map for the next few years.

Pandemonium of Grace

While the world has shifted dramatically, SIM's priority on chidlren has not.

Children on the Street

God has brought us to Santiago to work alongside Chilean believers offering hope and help children living on the streets.

Life on the Railroad Platform

Why are the children on the train platform? It’s their home! They eke out a living by collecting empty water bottles to refill and sell, polishing shoes, or sorting through trash for items to sell. Their conditions reflect your worst nightmare.

Meeting Aisha

I cuddle tiny Aisha and look into her sparkling eyes. What will become of her? Poverty is likely; hardship guaranteed.

Danger Prowls the Streets

God is using SIM missionaries to help young girls leave life on the streets in Bolivia.

AIDS Stalks Teens in Zambia

Three out of four of Zambia’s 9 million people call themselves Christians, and yet AIDS is ravaging their population.

Miracle for Meteku

“I can’t stay here in this house. It keeps haunting me. I have to move!” Meteku, age 15, was almost desperate as he pleaded with Sofi, the coordinator of the SIM Urban Ministry Program in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

SIM Engages General Education Again

Once again, SIM is emphasizing general education, but with this difference: we will respond to requests from local churches to build their capacity to start and run schools for the children and youth of their communities.

Finding Life at the Centre

The Student Evangelistic Centre in Niamey is serving students' needs and introducing them to Christ.

SIM-TEC's Vision for Higher Education

Technology and Education for Christ—-these words define the TEC in “SIM-TEC” and describe a vision to empower the church to establish Christian colleges and vocational schools across Africa and beyond.

A Tribute to my Teachers

Steve and Beaj have been catalysts for transformation in dozens of lives—MKs, as well as children of diplomats and expatriate business people and local families of various religious backgrounds.

The Hospital by the River

“To see young girls in a wretched state transformed into beautiful young women with a new start in life through the love, and care of this hospital is one of the most moving experiences one could hope to see.”

MK's Reaching Out

Missionary kids living in Asia are being used by God.
