Several ladies in Cheryl Schroeder's classes for health representatives in Bangladesh recently completed their extended training sessions. They learned how to help traditional birth assistants upgrade their skills. They earned enough credits to be awarded medical boxes (first aid kits) at their graduation ceremonies.
In 2004, Cheryl held reunions for those who had graduated from the training programs of years past. These gatherings offered great teaching opportunities. AIDS awareness and safe motherhood were the focus topics.
During the year, weekly Bible studies with a group of ladies from the classes round out the program. We completed the Book of Matthew and are now working on Genesis.
Please pray
Please pray for the women taking these classes. Pray their hearts will be open to the truth of God's Word as they participate in Bible classes. Pray that Cheryl will discern the specific spiritual needs of the women and minister to them effectively.
