The Second Annual Fulani Conference was a great success. Although 165 people officially registered, an estimated 230 people came from 31 locations to attend the gathering in Dakoro.

The conference was the place to be for a Fulani person of faith. Everyone sang and danced with their whole hearts during the times of worship. The Fulani church leaders gave some of the best teaching that I have heard in Niger.

My son and I took a group of five Fulani with us. Everyone was enthusiastic on the way there and aglow on the way back. They were amazed by the spirit of harmony between the participants.

The event had an atmosphere of love and acceptance. Other religious gatherings here often end with bitter fighting, and the government must call out soldiers to prevent unrest. It made me feel proud for the difference that Christ makes.
