DVDs at the Bus Stop – Forgotten or Planted?
6 June 2012

Benches have been used as pulpits before, but have you heard of a bench at a bus stop being used to deliberately plant or sow enticing items such as DVDs and memory cards? God’s Word does not return to Him void.

Jeanne Scypinski with SIM explains, “I was on my way to help distribute copies of films in the M-K language. Besides bruises which I suffered in a recent car accident, I suffered disappointment that I would not be able to join my friends as they gave people DVD copies of the JESUS, GENESIS, LUKE, and ACTS films.

Bus Stop
“By design some of the DVDs, plus radio and memory cards, were left at a bus stop. Later I heard that nine men who watched the DVDs and listened to the audio Scriptures returned to the bus stop to ask what they needed to do to follow Jesus. The men visited a nearby church whose pastor led them to an evangelist that spoke their language. Some of the men made professions of faith in Jesus Christ.

“One person working with the M-K people said that he has never seen such a strong response by the M-K people to the films and to the Scriptures they are listening to on mp3 radios. Pray that those who have made decisions will be well taught and form a strong church among this people group.”
