Christmas provides an opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ to those who do not know Him. In Bolivia, a committed Christian named Casiano decided to reach out to those in poverty. His colleagues, SIM missionaries Dick and Sara Hart, tell his story:

“Christmas last year was different for Casiano, our Bolivian co-worker. Instead of giving each other gifts, he and his family thought about people who wouldn’t be able to afford to buy presents at Christmas. They decided to travel to one poor rural village and bring the joy of Christmas to the people there.

“Several of us helped purchase simple toys for the children and basic food items for the families. About 300 or more attended the Christmas Eve celebration, where they played games, served refreshments, and then distributed the toys and food. Casiano also showed a film about God’s love and forgiveness.”

There are very few Christians in that village. Please pray that the love and compassion showed by Casiano and his family will bear lasting fruit in days to come.
