Armed Robbery in Jos Shocks Mission
29 October 2007

On October 16, two armed intruders broke into an SIM compound in Jos, Nigeria, where three short-term workers live. One missionary was attacked, and the robbers stole several valuables.

SIM Nigeria has asked for prayer as they seek to respond appropriately to this situation. "We need God's grace to be wise in taking practical steps to protect our staff, and at the same time calm rest in God's strong protection."

Please pray

  • for the healing of the SIM missionaries involved in the robbery.
  • for the mission community in Nigeria to know the best ways to protect their members.
  • for discussions with security agencies on ways to improve security.
