Did you know that mental health and other care specialists have a lot to contribute on the mission field? They can offer workshops, consultations, assessments, and counseling. They can also provide crisis intervention and debriefing.

As a SIM counselor, you would be available to support the SIM missionaries and MKs who come from many different countries and cultures, thereby enabling these missionaries to maintain better emotional health and be more effective in their ministries.

In the event of multicultural stresses, unusual events or experiences, and at times, crises, you would participate on a team for crisis management and debrief people involved. There would also be opportunities for training in preventive care. When culture and language permits, this job could also involve direct help to Ethiopians.
