SIM in Zambia has as a priority of strengthening and equipping the local church. As a pastoral intern, you can help to equip the local church using your particular gifts in local English speaking congregations in urban centres. You could be involved in ministry to youth or children, evangelism, Christian education, worship, or outreach, depending on your gifts, interests and abilities.

As an intern, you would be part of the leadership in a local Evangelical Church in Zambia congregation under a Zambian pastor who would direct your day-to-day activities. The pastor would give guidance and counsel to help learn the culture and develop ministry skills. This internship will give you an opportunity to use and develop your skills and gifts in a cross-cultural setting.
