Has God given you a desire to respond to people affected by HIV and AIDS? HOPE for AIDS Burkina Faso (Espoir Face au SIDA) is a grassroots program that seeks to bring greater understanding and involvement of the church in the fight against this devastating disease. It is run by the local church with the assistance of SIM and involves education in prevention, as well as the care of those living with HIV. You will collaborate with the HOPE for AIDS Coordination Team and report directly to the Program Coordinator.

Because of stigmatization of those infected by the virus, many lose their jobs and have a hard time finding sources of income. Income generating activities (IGAs) help improve their lives and decrease their financial dependency on outside funding.

This is where you come in. You will train local AIDS committee members and leaders in the church regions of Eastern Burkina on the conception, implementation, and evaluation of IGAs for people infected or affected by HIV and AIDS. What an opportunity for you to share God's plan of eternal Life!
