Sharing Christ on the Path
by Mike Dull, Tanzania
1 March 2005

Our friend Musa is a new believer who has been faithful in following Jesus, despite constant persecution these four years since he became a believer. Last year we showed the JESUS film for the first time in his village (curiosity often overcomes even the strongest resistance), and it seems to have helped Musa’s neighbors be a bit more accepting of the change in his life.

A few months ago, I traveled to Musa’s village, and met him on the path. “What’s that bulge under your shirt?” I asked. “Oh,” replied Musa, “that’s just my Bible and booklets, so I can talk to people about Jesus while I do my chores.” Now Musa is using a hand-cranked cassette player to stir up more interest among his neighbors. (The hand-operated players are essential in villages where the people don’t have electricity or the money to buy batteries.) I bought ten of these players, and I tape Swahili broadcasts from Trans World Radio to circulate in towns and villages.

Pray

Please pray for Musa, that he will remain firm in his faith, and that God will use him to win others to faith—perhaps to start and lead the first indigenous church in his area.
