Radio Transmitter Burned in Abidjan

SIM's principal radio transmitter in Abidjan, the capital city of Cote d'Ivoire, was burned on Sunday, February 27. It was not a target, but was located next to the government’s radio transmitters and those were attacked.

Radio Fréquence Vie is now using a backup transmitter to cover Abidjan, but the signal can no longer be sent up country to its three other sites.

Please pray for:

  • safety for the radio's staff and listening audience
  • that the ministry would continue through this time of great unrest and bring encouragement to thousands
  • for the violence to quickly draw to a close and for political peace
